Would you keep fighting for your rights after ten years of failing? The answer from Rafael, a Spanish man affected by the side effects of the drug thalidomide, is “yes”. This films shows his struggle fighting against the pharmaceutical company Grünenthal and against the Spanish government, along with the daily battle of dealing with 80% physical disability.

Rafael was born with malformations because of the medicine his mother was given while pregnancy. After discovering the reason purely by chance at the age of forty three, he has not stopped fighting for compensation that thousands of people in his same situation in other countries obtained forty years ago. Why did being born in Spain cause his current situation?
